A touching moment at Amsterdam Central Station has captured the hearts of many as a dog reunites with her mommy human after being apart for six long months. The video, shared on Imgur, showcases an emotional reunion that has left viewers both teary-eyed and joyful.

As the dog spots her human, she bolts forward with an unmatched desperation, tail wagging at what one commenter described as "hummingbird wing speeds." This display of pure joy and excitement is a testament to the deep bond between pets and their owners. One viewer humorously noted, "Surprised there is not a puddle," highlighting the sheer emotion of the moment.

Another commenter shared a personal anecdote, reminiscing about a corgi they once had who exhibited similar behaviors. Due to overfeeding by previous owners, this corgi reached a hefty sixty pounds, earning the nickname "Bologna Loaf Express." The story underscores the sometimes humorous yet always endearing nature of our furry friends.

The video has also sparked discussions about the nature of dogs' emotions and their understanding of time. One insightful comment explained that dogs lack object permanence, meaning that when their owners disappear for extended periods, they might as well be considered gone forever. This makes reunions feel like miracles to them, triggering such overwhelming reactions.

Viewers couldn't help but draw parallels to their own lives. One person mentioned, "Same reaction I will have when I meet my wife again. I'm scared I'll have a heart attack." This sentiment echoes the intense emotional connection and the joy that comes with reunions, whether between pets and owners or loved ones.

Despite the uplifting nature of the video, some commenters provided practical advice. "Very cute. Keep your dog on a leash when in public spaces," one advised, ensuring safety for the excited pet and people around.

The viral video has left a lasting impression, with one viewer summing it up perfectly: "I don't think I have ever seen anything so happy. I was fearing her little heart was going to explode." Indeed, such moments remind everyone of the simple yet profound joys that pets bring into lives.

We had a corgi who'd do this sometimes. But the previous owners let him overeat all the time since he was a pupper, so he got to be monstrously huge for a corgi. He was a whopping sixty pounds AFTER his diet. We had to train him to NOT do this because whenever he did it was like a battleship getting taken out by a torp***. I liked to call him the Bologna Loaf Express. :)

Dogs lack object permanence, meaning that if they can’t see it or evidence of it, it doesn’t exist as far as they’re concerned. When you are gone long enough for your smell to fade, to them, you’re dead. When you come back, it’s a godd***** miracle to them and they react thusly.
