Nick Jack Pappas, known on Twitter as @Pappiness, has sparked intense discussion with a provocative tweet drawing parallels between gun and abortion laws. The tweet, which has gained significant traction, reads:

"When you buy a gun, you’re shown pictures of gunshot victims.

If your neighbor suspects you of buying a gun, they can call a hotline.

If you’re from a state where guns are illegal, you can be arrested if you buy a gun out of state.

Oh sorry, these are all abortion laws."

Pappas' tweet, accompanied by his profile picture showing a smiling individual with light skin, glasses, and short brown hair, and a verified blue checkmark, has struck a chord with many users on social media. The message highlights the stark differences in how regulations and restrictions are applied to gun purchases compared to abortion access.

The tweet has ignited a wave of comments from users expressing a range of emotions from frustration to agreement. One user lamented, "Jfc this world is depressing. I'm gonna have a drink or five," while another pointed out the legal intricacies involved in gun purchases, stating, "It is absolutely 100% illegal to buy any gun, even one that is *legal* in your home state, out of your own state."

The comparison also touched on historical legislative actions, with a user reminiscing about the 90s political climate, "It feels necessary to point out that in the 90s when Clinton was president and the dems had a majority in both houses and the SCOTUS they used that opportunity to pass a crime bill that made it easier to keep people in jail longer and gutted welfare."

Pappas' tweet also drew attention to the polarizing opinions on gun control and abortion rights. Some comments reflected on the Second Amendment, "The 2nd amendment says first and foremost 'well-regulated.' So why do they get so p***y about regulation?" while others delved into societal and political dynamics, "Conservatives demand a [political] society where wealthy white men control *everything*. That's it. No elaboration needed."

This tweet has become a focal point for debates about the consistency and fairness of laws affecting personal freedoms and rights. The diverse reactions it has garnered underline the complexities and deeply rooted sentiments surrounding these contentious issues.

As conversations continue to unfold on social media platforms, Nick Jack Pappas' tweet remains a significant catalyst for discussions on how laws are crafted and enforced in different spheres of life.

It is absolutely 100% illegal to buy any gun, even one that is *legal* in your home state, out of of your own state. Any firearms transactions that cross state lines must be done through a Federal Firearms License holder (IE a gun store) in your home state and is subject to all laws, regulations, background checks, etc. regardless if it is private party or from another FFL. You buy a gun at an FFL or private party out of state, your FFL must provide a copy of their license & it's shipped to them

it feels necessary to point out that in the 90s when Clinton was president and the dems had a majority in both houses and the scotus they used that opportunity to pass a crime bill that made it easier to keep people in jail longer and gutted welfare. they could have protected abortion access but instead they passed two bills that the Republicans loved. just saying.

#1 uhhh yeah that's what the second amendment protects us from. We need an amendment. Or an over expansion of property rights and let pregnant women evict fetuses.

I mean wouldn't it be good gun laws?

Sounds like USA to me.

I own a few guns. I know how to safely handle and use them. I store them individually locked. I store any ammo locked separately. The only reason they're not also in a safe is because I haven't bolted it to the floor and wall yet. The only ones with unrestricted access to them is me. I require anybody using them to demonstrate the same care and respect for them as I do. I have ZERO problem having all these actions (and more) legally mandated for all gun owners.
