Huh. Only color sequence I remember working with tech was: blue -> orange -> green -> brown -> gray. Though that sequence is largely obsolete nowadays, as is the tech it was used on.

Yes, and if you're colorblind and you're learning circuits in school and/or trying to make a breadboard circuit, you have to check the resistance of EVERY. SINGLE. RESISTOR. because you can't tell the colors apart and the resistance isn't written on the things.
