Parents and teachers alike understand the chaotic aftermath of Halloween night, but one teacher's humorous reminder has taken the internet by storm. The image in question, posted by the account "homesteadgypsy," humorously addresses the challenges of managing children on November 1st, the day after Halloween.

In the blue speech bubble at the top of the image, the text reads: "When your daughter's teacher sends you a reminder for 11/1 and you will now only be referring to your kids as hungover raging pterodactyls 😂🤣." This sets the tone for a relatable and funny message that follows.

The main post, written in black font on a white background, dives deeper into the humorous struggle parents face. It starts with an "Annual October PSA," acknowledging the difficulty of getting kids ready for school the morning after Halloween. The teacher humorously refers to children as "hungover, raging pterodactyls" and urges parents not to send their "groggy elementary goblins" to school with candy.

Instead of candy, the post suggests a more practical approach: "We the teachers would rather you perform a rolling dropoff in front of the school, spitting a cranky kid in pajamas out of the Odyssey than pushing a feral hyperglycemic werewolf into the doors of the school fresh off a continuous three-day sugary bender. Put down the Blowpop."

The teacher's note continues with advice to send kids to school with "bed head and a buttered biscuit," promising to detox them from the sugar and artificial flavors accumulated over Halloween night and return them to parents by 3:00 PM. The message ends with a rallying cry, "We ride at dawn."

The image has sparked various reactions online. One commenter praised the teacher, saying, "That is really a fun teacher." Another expressed a desire to share drinks with the teacher, highlighting the relatable and humorous nature of the message. Discussions also emerged about sugar's effects on children, with multiple users debunking the myth of the "sugar high."

Additionally, some comments touched on cultural differences regarding holidays. One user from Germany noted that November 1st is a holiday in many parts of Germany, unlike in the UK or US, where it's a regular working day.

This teacher's note, filled with humor and relatable content, has resonated with many, making it a viral sensation and a source of laughter for parents and educators alike.

Sugar does not make them hyper. There are many studies that prove this wrong. I raised 2 and can say it’s completely b*******. Have them get a good nights sleep and breakfast and it will be ok. Mine are 18 and 20. I promise it’s not the candy.

I see the palm-clapping emoticon very often in US/UK texts when they want to emphasise/draw attention, but what does it point to in real life? (liek do these people clap their hands loudly between words? I am not native UK or US. In Greece we might do a handgesture between words or make a word louder but not clap...its invasive)

Sugar rush is not a real thing. It's been scientifically disproven multiple times.

Sugar highs are not real, physiologically speaking. More plainly, a lot of sugar does not cause hyperactivity. It’s a myth.

Why isn't the first of November a Holiday? Took me very long to get that it's a regular working day in the US cause in most parts of Germany it's a day off. Poor kids!

This is great

As a teacher, I could never send this type of note because there will always be one parent that files a human rights complaint for calling her child an animal.

Honestly, why the f*** don't they just let kids have the day after Halloween off?
