In a recent viral video on Imgur titled "Reincarnation," a comedian delves into the complexities of reincarnation from the perspective of racial identity. The comic insightfully points out, "It's tougher for black people to believe in reincarnation. Because right now I can blame white people for slavery. That's some messed up stuff you did back then." With a clever twist, the comedian adds, "But just because I'm black now... Doesn't mean I was black in my past. I could be who I'm angry at. I could have been a slave owner. That could be my statue I made them take down."

The video has sparked various reactions, with one user expressing, "This made me legit LoL," and another appreciating the attribution, "Thank you for crediting the comic! Not enough OPs do that these days." However, some noted technical issues, such as one viewer stating, "Is it just me, or is the audience volume way too high on this?"

The concept of reincarnation resonated with many, with comments like, "Everyone should believe in the sort of reincarnation which has you come back as a member of the group you were worst to in your past life." Another user admired the existential nature of the performance, saying, "I love it when comedians get existential."

One viewer elaborated on the karmic aspect, "That would be some incredible karmic irony right there." Another user added historical context, "Or... You could have been one of the many black guys who sold those black slaves to the white guys. Or one of those black slave owners who sold black slaves to the Arabians. Or you could have been one of those Germanic guys who sold those guys from the east."

The moral implications of reincarnation were highlighted by a commenter who said, "I mean that is kinda the point of reincarnation as a moral concept. Don't be an immoral blight on the world because you can come back and have to face the consequences of those actions on the victim's side."

A sentiment echoed by another user humorously warned, "We used to say this at work: Don't step on the 'roaches, you never know who you gonna be working for next." Among the diverse reactions, one viewer found the skit similar to philosophical ideas, "This is similar to John Rawls's ideas on how to create the best society: You need to do it from the position of ignorance on what life you'll lead in it."

Despite the serious undertones, the comedic delivery was widely appreciated. One user commented, "That is a good skit," while another shared, "I can't believe there are people out here saying you can't be 'politically incorrect' anymore. This is really funny."

Reflecting on historical beliefs, one viewer noted, "Isn't it interesting that the most basic people who believe in reincarnation always were Kings and queens in a past life and not some lowly peasant?" Another user recommended further reading, "Y’all might wanna read The Egg by Andy Weir, a very short story."

This video has not only provided laughs but also prompted thoughtful discussions on reincarnation, morality, and historical context, making it a must-watch for anyone interested in comedy with depth.

Or... You could have been one of the many black guys who sold those black slaves to the white guys. Or one of those black slave owners who sold black slaves to the Arabians. Or you could have been one of those Germanic guys who sold those guys from the east, they said their name was... Slacks? Sla- Slavs? Slaves? Yeah, let's go with Slaves, you're selling Slaves. Or you could have been an Aztec slave owner, or a Persian, or a Mongol.

I mean that is kinda the point of reincarnation as a moral concept. Don't be a immoral blight on the world because you can come back and have to face the consequences of those actions on the victim's side. It is the idea of overcoming the greed and destructive nature of human desires and be a better person over all so the future is better over all too.
