In an unforgettable scene from the critically acclaimed movie "Knives Out," Chris Evans nearly breaks character due to Michael Shannon's impeccable comedic timing. The moment, which has since become a fan favorite, showcases Shannon's dry humor and sharp wit.

During the scene, Shannon's character aggressively offers cookies to Evans' character, Hugh, while delivering the now-iconic line, "Hey, maybe Harlan left you a cold glass of milk in his will, a******." Evans admits it took all his willpower not to burst into laughter, praising Shannon's commitment to the role and his understated comedic genius. This particular interaction has resonated with fans, with many noting Shannon's ability to elevate every scene he's in.

One viewer commented, "Michael Shannon reading the sorority email is a lot of fun and he absolutely commits." Another remarked on the delivery of the "cold glass of milk" line, saying it never fails to bring on the laughs. Fans of the film appreciate the depth Evans brings to his roles, showcasing a range of talents beyond his well-known action movie persona.

A local fan shared a fun fact: the house used for the exterior shots in "Knives Out" is just down the road from their home. They walk their dogs by it almost every day, adding a personal touch to the film's lore.

Despite some criticisms, such as a fan feeling LaKeith Stanfield was underutilized, the overall reception of "Knives Out" is overwhelmingly positive. The film's ensemble cast, including Ana De Armas, who also starred with Evans in "Ghosted" and "The Grey Man," adds to its charm and complexity.

Michael Shannon's range as an actor is widely recognized, with standout performances in "Boardwalk Empire" and "Take Shelter." His portrayal of characters like Nelson Van Alden and George Mueller has cemented his reputation as an actor who brightens up any scene he's in. One fan sums it up perfectly: "Michael Shannon is truly underrated in my opinion! He plays villains that you just love to hate!"

While some fans were less impressed with "Glass Onion," the follow-up to "Knives Out," the original film remains a must-watch, especially during the fall. As one fan puts it, "I f***ing love this movie! Absolute perfection! Gotta watch it a few times every fall now."

For those who haven't experienced the magic of "Knives Out," it's time to join the ranks of fans who appreciate the film's clever plot, star-studded cast, and unforgettable moments like the cookie scene between Chris Evans and Michael Shannon.

Chris Evans has actually some depth you wouldn't notice just from his action movies.

Fun fact: I live down the road from the house that they used for the exterior shots in this movie (the inside was shot on a soundstage). I walk my dogs by it almost every day.

Something I really liked about this film is it broke my strategy for murder mysteries because its almost always the biggest actor or the person you know from other shows/films but the cast was so star studded it was not a reliable method.

Paullovespizza

He starred in Knives Out with Ana De Armas and also with her in Ghosted and The Grey Man.

I wish Glass Onion was as good as Knives Out. It just wasn't.
