A viral video titled "Thank you for saving me.. Now meet my family" has sparked a heated debate online. The video features a touching scene of a rainbow lorikeet being rescued and then introducing its family to the rescuer. Accompanied by the lyrics, "Cause we were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was. I will not give you up this time. Darling, just kiss me slow. Your heart is all I own. And in your eyes, you're holding mine," the video aims to tug at the heartstrings of viewers.

One user remarked, "Looks like a rainbow lorikeet, they remember very well. I have a breeding pair that comes to show me their babies every season out the window. They were good friends with my pet bird until she passed." This comment highlights the affectionate nature of lorikeets and their ability to form bonds with humans.

However, skepticism permeates the comments section. One user expressed, "I don't trust these animal rescue videos anymore. So many of the 'Rescues' are just the staged b******* often including intentional neglect." Another added, "Bird p*** everywhere," indicating frustration with the authenticity of such videos.

The video also received criticism for its vague storytelling. "Notice how these videos always say 'The girl' or 'The boy', etc.? Feels very much like content-farm junk with no factual sources," commented another user. This sentiment was echoed by multiple others who questioned the video's authenticity.

Despite the skepticism, some users appreciated the beauty of the rainbow lorikeets. "Rainbow lorikeet!" exclaimed one user, while another shared their own experience, "I have also coaxed them onto my hand in one preschool I worked at to show the students what they like to eat. Love them."

The debate continues with comments such as, "99% sure this is one of the made-up stories from different clips spliced together," and, "These AI voiced videos aren't real. They stitch together video clips of similar-looking animals to tell a fake story."

Whether soul-stirring or staged, the video has certainly captured the attention of many, generating discussions about the authenticity of animal rescue content online.

Augh, this is one of those made up stories with random video clips edited together. These must be AI generated or something. The internet is starting to get lame..

Interesting choice of words for natural flock behaviour when they're shown a safe place with food and general amenities.

I'm sure free food had nothing to do with it

Ok but like... how did it get stuck in glue in the first place

99% sure this is one of the made-up stories from different clips spliced together. The only reason it's harder to tell is that humans are bad at telling individual birds apart than mammals.
