A snapshot of a wooden bookshelf filled with a carefully curated collection of fantasy books alongside two Blackstar speaker boxes has captured the attention of social media users. The image, posted by the user "bloodclotb****," humorously dubbed "My Growing Post Divorce Book Collection," highlights a diverse array of titles that have sparked a lively discussion online.

Among the books prominently displayed on the top shelf are beloved series and novels such as the "Harry Potter" series, "Eragon," "Eldest," and "Brisingr." The bookshelf also features a decorative wooden bow, adding a unique touch to the literary display.

The post has garnered significant engagement, including a comment from "capincus" that reads, "Brutal, 15 and already divorced," which earned 1 Award and 99 upvotes, along with 27 replies. This comment playfully exaggerates the idea of amassing such a collection at a young age, adding to the humorous tone of the discussion.

Several users shared their thoughts and experiences on reading preferences and the importance of enjoying literature without judgment. One user pointed out, "F*** the book snobs, read what makes you happy," while another added, "Eh, honestly I still like a lot of YA literature even in my 40's. They're usually an enjoyable but uncomplicated story, with next to no subtext and basic characters. It's like a cheese quesadilla of literature."

The supportive community further emphasized the value of reading for pleasure, regardless of the genre or perceived literary merit. One commenter noted, "I have a policy of not making fun of people for what they read or watch or listen to. We all enjoy different things and get different things out of engaging in these leisure activities."

Interestingly, the bookshelf inspired a nostalgic trip down memory lane for some users, with mentions of "Magic The Gathering" books and Forgotten Realms novels. One user shared, "Listen, I've got a shelf full of Forgotten Realms novels, including a number that I went and got signed by the authors. I'd hardly call them literary masterpieces - but they are (and were) FUN TO READ."

Overall, the image and ensuing discussion underscore the joy of reading and the personal significance of one's book collection. As one commenter aptly put it, "F*** what anyone else says about it, enjoy what you like, and don't be afraid to be proud of it." Whether it's a post-divorce hobby or a lifelong passion, a growing book collection serves as a testament to the enduring love of literature and the stories that resonate with readers.

Eregon is to Star Wars what 50 Shades of Grey was to Twilight. But with dragons instead of sex.

I have a policy of not making fun of people for what they read or watch or listen to. We all enjoy different things and get different things out of engaging in these leisure activities. One of my friends who is really smart watches t***** reality tv shows. It’s a nice escape for her.

It's a good burn. And I own some of those. So, I'll have to treat myself for it as well.

Worth noting that for people with ADHD who struggle to read books aimed at adults it's common to regress to reading teenage fare & that's ok

Yeah, don't s*** on people's taste. At least they are reading. My book collection is mostly Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, and Douglas Adams and that t*** would sneer at that, I'm sure.
