A recent tweet has captured the internet's attention, featuring none other than the beloved actor Harrison Ford. The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) shared an intriguing update about a new species of snake named Tach****oides harrisonfordi, and Ford's reaction to this news has left fans both amused and bewildered.

The tweet from The Hollywood Reporter reads, "Harrison Ford has thoughts about a new species of snake that has been named Tach****oides harrisonfordi: thr.cm/ldwZODP." Accompanying this tweet is an image of a man standing before a striking modern architectural structure, marked with a "Hollywood Reporter" watermark.

Harrison Ford, known for his iconic roles as Han Solo and Indiana Jones, responded with an unexpected and humorous quote: "These scientists keep naming critters after me, but it's always the ones that terrify children. I don’t understand. I spend my free time cross-stitching. I sing lullabies to my basil plants, so they won’t fear the night."

This quote has sparked a wave of reactions across social media. Joseph K. (@wallsallaround) tweeted a screenshot of The Hollywood Reporter's post, adding his own incredulous comment: "How is this not a g*****n Onion quote." The tweet from Joseph K. quickly went viral, amassing over 34.7K likes, 2,889 retweets, and 1.3M views.

Commenters on the post had plenty to say. One user remarked, "It had to be a snake," while another humorously noted, "Sure but you're still a scoundrel that shot first. <3" The community also appreciated Ford's laid-back attitude, with one comment highlighting, "What I like most about Harrison Ford is how little a s*** he gives about Han Solo and the Star Wars universe. He just could not possibly care less, and I love him for it."

Further adding to the conversation, a commenter shared a link to a blog post from Conservation International, featuring the newly named snake: "This is the snake BTW, actually pretty cute if you ask me https://www.conservation.org/blog/tach****oides-harrisonfordi-a-new-snake-species-named-after-harrison-ford."

The humorous and unexpected nature of Ford's quote, combined with his legendary status, has made this tweet a viral sensation. Fans can't get enough of Ford's quirky side, and it seems that his ability to take life—and snake names—in stride only adds to his charm.

Ford has a good sense of humor, why should it be credited to anyone but him!

Why is it always snakes.

To be fair it was Henry Jones Jr ( Indiana Jones) who doesn’t like snakes.

Chances are if an animal is named after you, it's going to be something nasty. Most species are not cute little rodents. Going by species count, if anything is named after you, it's going to be a bug, and if it's a bug, it's most likely going to be a weevil.
