In a world often filled with challenges, Morgan's Wonderland in Texas stands as a beacon of hope and joy. Founded by Gordon Hartman 11 years ago, this $34 million amusement park is a testament to what love and dedication can achieve. Named after his daughter, Morgan, who has a disability, this 18,000 sq foot wheelchair accessible park is the first of its kind in the world. Notably, admission is free for guests with special needs.

The left photo in the image captures a emotional scene where a man is helping a young girl in a wheelchair enjoy a water attraction. The girl, seated in a brightly colored wheelchair with orange and black accents, is delighted as a stream of water arches playfully over her. The cheerful outdoor setting is indicative of the lively and inclusive atmosphere that Morgan's Wonderland offers.

On the right side, a young boy in a vividly designed wheelchair, possibly depicting galaxies or space scenes, is seen enjoying a splash pad. His laughter and wet hair capture the pure joy that this park brings to its visitors. A woman in a colorful bathing suit stands behind him, smiling, as other guests also revel in the water park attraction.

Morgan's Wonderland has not only created a fun and inclusive space, but it has also garnered a lot of admiration from visitors. One commenter mentioned, "Because that's what heroes do," encapsulating the spirit of Gordon Hartman's initiative. Another visitor shared, "I took my spectacular daughter Izzy there, it's truly wonderful," highlighting the personal impact the park has on families.

The park's commitment to inclusivity extends beyond just physical accessibility. A commenter noted, "IIRC the half or 1/3 of employees are with special needs," showcasing the park's dedication to providing opportunities for everyone.

Morgan's Wonderland has continued to expand, adding several new attractions like a water park and a beauty salon, all fully accessible. This evolution ensures that the park remains a place where everyone, regardless of ability, can create lasting memories.

The sentiment from the community is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their gratitude and admiration. One user commented, "Good news out of Texas? Awesome! We need more of this." Another shared, "Even the ticket prices are reasonable at $40 per person," emphasizing the park's accessibility not just in design but also in affordability.

Morgan's Wonderland is more than just an amusement park; it is a haven where everyone can experience the joy of play without barriers. As Gordon Hartman has shown, with a little bit of heart and a lot of determination, it is possible to create a world where inclusivity and fun go hand in hand.

Someone down voted this? I can imagine not up-voting. Maybe you are here for RHM and gif wars. Sure, I get that this is not your thing, but why down vote it?

In my old town there is a playground that is pretty accessible, it was funded by Kristi Yamaguchi and is popular with kids of different ability levels including those with no disabilities…. This one though really achieves a whole new level, I’m impressed!
