Good for you! Asexual and aromantic are two different things, and some people only get sexually attracted to people they are also romantically attracted to. There are many different labels, but the most important thing is that you're happy with yourself. Good luck with the relationship!

I'm aromantic and asexual and I've still had a few partners over the years cuz having friends is nice and hey, I'm not sex repulsed so sex is a nice thing I can do for my bestie sometimes.

I don’t understand why this is being downvoted. It’s wholesome and joyful. You deserve this!

As someone largely 'greysexual', I find life and dating to be really confusing for me. I'm 30, and It's hard to convey to someone that you find them attractive, but also that I rarely have sexual urges. But I also can build that aspect up if I get really close with someone. So I don't even attempt dating often, because most people that I've met just don't understand it. And it's painful to explain that and trauma in my past

Very cool! I’m glad you’re happy with who you are! PSA for the people reading this who are interpreting it as “maybe I should try introduce my ace friend to some men/women!” please don’t!

I was almost 40 when I realized I was demisexual and greysexual but still alloromantic. I have an aroace bestie who really helped me figure a lot of things out. I think life would have been easier for me if I'd known these terms when I was younger, because I was very much trying to be allosexual and failing miserably with everyone I came into contact with. Isn't it so nice to figure these things out and suddenly feel like there's a little more breathing room or something? I wish you both joy!

Now it's time to B-sexual.

I am asexual but not aromantic. I WISH I was aromantic as well because then I would not be sad that I will never get to love and be loved because of what I am. I am genuinely happy for you and hope you get to enjoy every second of your new self.

Sometimes it takes a while to figure out who you are. Glad that you're happy with who you are.

Happy for you!! As a big sister, remember to use protection! Gay men are still the highest risk for HIV/AIDS. I say this with all the love. My younger brother is gay. He also gets these talks :) <3
