A recent three-panel comic strip by SRGRAFO, featured on Imgur under the title "Billy Yes!!!", humorously delves into the ongoing debate between paying for YouTube Premium and using ad blockers like Adblock Plus. The comic, shared by user @RexKing, has quickly gained traction and sparked a lively discussion in the comments.

The first panel introduces Billy, a small stick-figure character, and a taller character with a mustache, likely a parent or guardian. The taller character, holding a green bill, advises, "BILLY, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WATCH ADS." This setup sets the stage for a humorous yet relatable scenario.

In the second panel, the taller character, now pointing seriously, continues, "You should spend your hard-earned money on YouTube Premium." This advice reflects the common suggestion to pay for the premium service to avoid advertisements, a point of contention among many YouTube users.

The third panel delivers the punchline as Billy approaches a vending machine-like device with the green bill in hand. The taller character, now off-frame, exclaims, "Billy, no!!!" The vending machine displays a message, "Help Adblock Plus make the internet a better place." This twist humorously highlights the alternative of using ad blockers to avoid ads without paying for premium services.

The comic has resonated with many users, evidenced by the comments. One user remarked, "Been using μblock for a while. Changed when I couldn't get adblock to work vs YouTube commercials anymore." Another added, "Ewwwww Adblock Plus, if you want to help, help ublock origin."

The discussion also touched on the drawbacks of YouTube Premium. One user shared, "Had YouTube Premium for a year, still got ads, some of them unskippable. YouTube never responded to my complaints." Others highlighted the benefits of ad blockers, with comments like, "Ublock Origin works on YouTube ads. They've caught on to AdBlock Plus."

This comic strip by SRGRAFO, with its witty take on a common digital age dilemma, has not only entertained but also sparked an engaging conversation about the pros and cons of YouTube Premium versus ad blockers. For those who have faced this very choice, Billy's predicament is all too relatable.

No, not adblock plus, they sold out to advertisers, use ublock origin.

What gets me is how much we pay for it. Use phone on roaming data to look up articles then the price is very clear in the phone bill. Not like we get a quality option or choice of sale or a display of how much data it'll cost us. Yt barely even gives product ads, it's ninety percent scam bs.

Also get uBlock Origin. Not uBlock. That’s a scam.

I pay for premium so my mom can listen to things on her iphone with the app minimized lmao. She's not about to go through the hassle of installing firefox, adding adblock, and then using an interface that wasn't designed for ease of use on phones in the first place because they want you to use their app. The only "upside" for me is knowing that the creators I want to support get a little more money from my views than they would if I was just watching with ads on.

The FBI recommends the use of ad blockers.

Best part of paying for YT premium is you still have to watch the paid content ads and now you don’t get to see all the content without being a member…. So… idk why anyone would pay.

On android, kiwi browser can use PC Chrome extensions. So I am running ublock origin on my Android. It's great!
