Cows are often perceived as mere livestock, but a closer look reveals their affectionate and playful nature. In a viral video titled "5 Signs a Cow is Truly Happy," viewers are treated to an endearing showcase of bovine joy. This video captivates with its combination of lighthearted music and charming cow behaviors, proving that cows can be as lovable as any pet.

The video, featuring the song lyrics, "Oh, thinking about our younger years..." sets a nostalgic tone as it highlights the bond between humans and cows. The scenes are emotional, with one user noting, "Proof that cows are just giant puppies... except for that last one."

Here are the five signs that the video emphasizes to indicate a cow's happiness:

1. **Belly Rubs**: Just like dogs, cows enjoy a good belly rub. A former farmer commented, "As someone who was a farmer for 4 years, I can tell you belly rubs and scratches behind the ears is like petting a puppy."

2. **Ear Scratches**: Cows show immense pleasure when their ears are scratched, often leaning into the gesture for more. This simple act can significantly improve their well-being.

3. **Zoomies**: Yes, cows can get the zoomies too! One commenter humorously added, "I prefer to undercook the burgers a bit, that way the cows get to have the zoomies one last time."

4. **Purring**: Believe it or not, cows can purr. It's more of a low-level groan, but it signifies contentment. "They also purr. Sounds more like a continued low-level groan, but they purr," shared an observer.

5. **Snuggles**: Cows enjoy snuggling with their favorite humans. The video shows touching moments where cows lean into their caretakers, seeking warmth and comfort.

While the video delights many with its adorable content, some comments bring attention to the ethical considerations surrounding meat consumption and animal welfare. One user reflected, "Not in our lifetime, but one day humans will watch videos from the past like this and be revolted. How could they do that? Didn't they know better?"

Another user, with a humorous twist, commented, "Meet the Meat Before You Eat," encapsulating the complex relationship humans have with animals they consume.

The video also sparked a discussion on sustainable farming practices. "I see nothing wrong here. Happy Cow Life + Great food source. Better this than those poor cows being factory farmed and never felt the happiness of a good belly rub & snuggle from their favorite human," remarked a viewer.

Ultimately, "5 Signs a Cow is Truly Happy" is a video that not only entertains but also educates viewers on the importance of treating animals with kindness and respect. Whether you're a farmer or an animal lover, this video is sure to bring a smile to your face and perhaps even a tear to your eye. For those searching for genuine moments of joy and an understanding of bovine happiness, this is a must-watch.

So much this. I’m looking to raise them in alternating ages so I can harvest one per year. I want to raise the happiest and therefore tastiest cows around.

I get that this is an attempt at humor but hear me out. We consume to much meat and its bad for our health. Meat production wastes resources and is bad for the environment. On top of that there's the enormous suffering we cause.

I didn't watch the whole thing, and read the top comment expecting it to say something trollish "oh they are tasty" and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't. Then I realised "Oh it's in the video". You may not be deep thinkers, but I envy you guys being able to do the same joke a million times and still think it's funny.

Not in our lifetime, but one day humans will watch videos from the past like this and be revolted. How could they do that? Didn't they know better? Don't panic, we aren't there yet. Enjoy your burger, but you don't have to be serial killer creepy about it.
