A recent video titled "Narratives" on Imgur has captured the hearts of many with its beautifully written poem and mesmerizing Scottish accent. The poem begins with the poignant lines, "I'm telling my story, it's mine after all, and this masterpiece won't write itself. What started as tragedy turned into hope, the weight of which buckles the shelf." This evocative piece speaks to the transformation of pain into strength and resilience, a sentiment that has deeply resonated with viewers.

One comment reads, "I'm not a poetry guy, but the accent is worth the price of admission," highlighting the charm of the narrator's voice. Another viewer shares, "For those we have lost. For those we can yet save," reflecting the poem's powerful message of hope and recovery.

The poem continues with, "I put I into life, and then life into me, as I reconstruct what was once gone. I st***d every ember my heart could remember, and I nourished the flames till they shone." These lines emphasize the journey of rebuilding oneself and finding light in the darkest times.

Many viewers have praised the narrator's delivery and the poem's impact. Comments such as "A beautiful poem, and a beautiful accent!" and "This completely resonates. Damn I needed this today," demonstrate the widespread appreciation for this heartfelt piece. One user even mentions, "I've been following her for some time and I can honestly say that everything about her is amazing ❤️."

The poem also touches on themes of pride and overcoming shame: "I wrote down the things that I have in my life, and I found that through heartache and pain. I took strength and resilience and beautiful brilliance, and wrote pride with a once-scribbled shame." This transformation is a testament to the power of self-love and perseverance.

One particularly moving comment shares, "This brought me to tears. After years of abuse, not being fully protected after the revelation of said abuse, falling into the trap of religion and being told I was dirty, and then hating myself for the majority of teenage years and adulthood, I'm finally breaking free and becoming the adult that would have protected me. For the sake of my daughters and for my own inner child. Wow. This piece was very moving."

The video has also sparked discussions about the importance of owning one's story. As one user succinctly puts it, "The Tl;dr: if we don't write our own stories, someone else will do it, and we may like that outcome."

Overall, the "Narratives" video is a profound reminder of the power of storytelling and the strength that comes from embracing one's journey. Whether drawn in by the Scottish accent or the deeply resonant words, viewers have found solace and inspiration in this beautiful poem.

The single most beautiful person I have ever met...I HAVE EVER MET, was in Ireland in 2008 when I was vacationing there. She was a redheaded woman like her, but she had Heterochromia, and I will absolutely never forget how full and luscious her glorious hair was as she crossed traffic, turned around, whipped her over her shoulder as she turned her head towards my friend and I, and asked her friend (sadly, not me who had just fallen in love with her) if she was coming with her.

People ask me how I am, "Fabulous" is my response. I take all the good things that have happened in my life and put them in one column. Then I take all the bad things that have happened and put them in another column. I add up the good things, add up the bad things then add the two totals together to come up with the number of blessings I have received. The answer comes out as "One f***ing lucky bloke".
