A touching image has resurfaced on Twitter, capturing renowned actor Liev Schreiber displaying unwavering support for his child. The tweet, shared by Joelle Tungus (@TungusBusko), highlights Schreiber's commendable parenting approach, showing him accompanying his child dressed as Harley Quinn.

The tweet reads: "I saw this pic like 6 years ago and Liev Schreiber was like 'My son wanted to be Harley Quinn for comic con so that’s what we did, why are you being weird about it?' I just found out he's got a daughter now. He seems like a great dad 🥲"

In the photo, Schreiber, known for roles in films such as "Spotlight" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," is seen walking hand-in-hand with his child. The child, exuberantly donning a Harley Quinn costume complete with a colorful wig, makeup, a shiny jacket, t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers, radiates joy and confidence. Schreiber's casual yet protective demeanor, dressed in a dark shirt, cap, pants, and shoes, complements the bright and sunny outdoor setting.

Social media users have expressed immense admiration for Schreiber's support, especially considering the costume choice. Comments range from praise for his acting talents and personal character to reflections on the importance of parental acceptance and support for transgender and non-conforming youth.

One user commented, "Wonderful actor and from all accounts a good person." Another shared, "I wish more parents were this accepting and supportive of trans youth. My mom freaked out when I came home from high school with nail polish on. Took me an additional 20 years before I felt safe enough to come out to her and transition. This kind of love and support, especially at a young age when many of us started realizing something was off about our gender identity, is so incredibly vital."

The image has also sparked discussions about societal norms and the misconceptions regarding gender expression. A user noted, "I laugh when people say 'Groomers are imposing being trans on kids with this!' Like, do you REALLY believe, if a boy that age didn't want to go as a girl, you could even get him into the car? Let alone the outfit? You clearly never acted with kids and how important their costumes are to them."

Other comments highlight the emotional impact of such acceptance on children. "I haven’t been a kid for a long time but I can’t help but imagine that little girl will remember that for the rest of her life. Great dad," one user remarked.

However, some users expressed concerns about the appropriateness of the Harley Quinn costume for a child, considering the character's often sexualized portrayal. Despite differing opinions, the overwhelming sentiment celebrates Schreiber's role as a supportive and loving parent.

This touching image and the discussions it has ignited serve as a powerful reminder of the impact of parental support on a child's well-being and identity. Liev Schreiber's actions exemplify how embracing and accepting a child's choices can foster confidence and happiness, resonating with many who see the importance of such love and support.

For those inspired by this story, it is a testament to the beauty of unconditional love and the positive influence it has on young lives navigating their paths to self-discovery.

I know it may not be popular by I just can’t support this. Obviously Liev should be dressed as Commissioner Gordad to complete this look.

Relatedly, went as Harley Quinn for halloween once because it was the first thing that came up when I googled "halloween costume idea". Ended up with a lot of people nominating me for both best male costume and best female costume. And that's how the judges ended up having to rule that it was one category per person.

Yeah, crossplaying is not a rare thing in comic/anime conventions.
