Make-A-Wish Foundation has been making dreams come true for children battling serious illnesses, and one Reddit thread has shed light on the incredible experiences that some of these kids have had. In a post titled "Make a wish employees What was the most strangest thing a make a wish kid asked for and actually received?" on the subreddit "AskReddit," a inspirational story emerged about a young girl's wish that turned into an extraordinary adventure.

The post garnered an impressive 53.8k upvotes, indicating the level of interest and support from the Reddit community. The top comment, which received 12 awards, recounts the story of the commenter's ex-girlfriend, who was a make-a-wish kid herself. Her wish? To meet the cast and crew of the beloved animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender.

But her wish didn't stop there. Instead of simply meeting the cast and crew, the shows' creators went above and beyond to make her experience truly unforgettable. Not only did she get to visit Orlando Studios, but the creators also offered to draw her into the show itself. They even gave her a line to say as the character she voiced was brought to life on the screen.

In the Tales of Ba Sing Se, at the end of the Tale of Aang, this brave young girl became the kid who sees her cat in the zoo and says, "Fluffykins, what're you doing down there?" This inspirational moment is a testament to the power of dreams and the dedication of the Make-A-Wish Foundation to bring joy and hope to the lives of children facing challenging circumstances.

The comment highlighting this incredible story received an impressive 23.0k upvotes, demonstrating the widespread admiration and support for the young girl's journey.

Make-A-Wish Foundation is known for going above and beyond to fulfill the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. From meeting celebrities to going on dream vacations, the organization has been making a difference in the lives of countless children and their families.

No one's pointing out make a wish is for kids and he says it was for his gf? We're sliding right past that?

Since there seems to be some confusion, you do not have to be terminal to be a make a wish kid, many severely ill children were make a wish kids that grew up. Childhood leukemia, organ transplant patients, severely chronically ill, "spend-whole-childhood-in-hospital" sick kind of kids.

"Most" is superfluous. "Strangest" already means "strangest", there is no need to add a "most" to it. It's like saying "a stupid Trump comment".

Volunteer Wish Granter here. Make-A-Wish’s purpose is to give children and families hope and something to look forward to while enduring treatments. Very few children pass.
