And now after 4 years of proving that remote work is great they want to stuff THAT into the box again. Go figure.

Look at the conservative attacks against the LGBTQIA+, drag queens, anyone who doesn't want to fit their mold. It's always been control.

THE HAYS CODE ***NEEDS*** to be added to this theory. If you don't know about the Hollywood group of a few men who censored *EVERYTHING* coming from the film industry for FORTY YEARS (34 - 68) and DEFINING Boomers view of America- ENTIRELY as designed by a handful of rich white men in the Hays commission. The propaganda straight up cannot be undersold https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hays_Code (Greg from how to drink loves pre-code movies and has a f***in great rant about this)

This is not enough information to change minds but certainly is to want to delve deeper into understanding more deeply.

Did I read all this right? Is she trying to say "traditional" gender roles were invented in 1946? Wait until she learns about the 19th century or the 18th or 17th etc. If anything those traditional roles were suspended during WW2 and resumed afterward. But by the 1960s women were like wait a minute that actually worked let's go back to that time we earned our own pay.

Not even that, I hate the argument they use that it’s made up. Everything is f***ing made up!!! We as humans have made up everything that makes sense to us! Numbers, words, politics etc. so it’s such a stupid statement when they say “I’m not going to call them by a made up word” everything we’ve done as humans is make things up that make sense to us

Missed a huge piece though, a massive portion of American men just witnessed their friends being disemb****ed, heads blown off, cut in half by shrapnel, not to mention being forced to kill other men in brutal combat. The trauma of that and impact on society was immense. And many of those same men had kids who resisted Vietnam, they saw the damage their fathers had and refused to do the same.

Into the eighties, it was custom in the Netherlands to fire women from their jobs as soon as they got married. Every country had to take steps towards emancipation.
