The swift and effective coordination between Greene's private security detail and the Rome Police Department prevented officers from being dispatched to her home on Christmas. Major Rodney Bailey from the Rome Police Department confirmed the emergency call was received before 11 a.m. Monday, but the response was canceled en route after confirming there was no emergency.

Meanwhile, in central New York, Rep. Brandon Williams also experienced a swatting attempt with a false report of a shooting at his home. Deputies and troopers responded to the call and, after finding no emergency, were gifted homemade cookies and spiced nuts by the lawmaker.
