Marilyn Mosby Ordered to Forfeit Florida Condo Amid Fraud Conviction

Former Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby has been ordered to forfeit her Florida condo following her conviction of perjury and mortgage fraud. The sentencing hearing took place before a federal judge, where Mosby was found guilty of making false statements on loan applications to purchase two vacation homes in Florida. In November, a federal jury convicted Mosby of two counts of perjury after she falsely claimed financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic to withdraw money from the city's retirement fund. Despite the charges and convictions, Mosby has maintained her innocence, stating, "I've done nothing wrong. I've done nothing illegal and nothing criminal."

Addressing the media outside her office following her indictment, Mosby argued that she was the target of a politically and racially motivated prosecution under the Trump administration. Mosby has since asked President Biden for a pardon, supported by the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP. Her application for clemency asserts that no remorse or regret is appropriate in her case because she believes justice was denied.

Mosby gained national prominence in 2015 after charging six police officers in relation to the death of Freddie Gray, a case that drew widespread attention. Meanwhile, the political landscape continues to be rife with controversy as Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito faces scrutiny over an upside-down American flag flown at his residence. Media pundits and Democratic lawmakers have called for Alito to recuse himself from Trump-related cases, citing potential bias. The flag, a symbol associated with Trump supporters who claim President Biden did not win the 2020 election, was reportedly hung by Alito's wife in response to neighborly insults.

Justice Alito's actions have sparked a broader debate over Supreme Court ethics, with calls for investigations and legislative changes. CNN's Norm Eisen referred to the situation as an "absolute ethics crisis," urging Congress to investigate. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has also called for a Senate investigation, while media figures like Stephen Colbert and MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell have criticized Alito's conduct. The controversy underscores ongoing tensions within the judiciary and the political sphere, highlighting the complex interplay of ethics, accountability, and political influence.

Conservative Bias:

Well, folks, here we go again with the liberal media and their witch hunts. Marilyn Mosby, who gained fame for her outrageous and politically motivated charges against six police officers in the Freddie Gray case, has now been caught red-handed committing perjury and mortgage fraud. But instead of taking responsibility, she cries "politically and racially motivated prosecution," blaming the Trump administration for her own criminal actions. And of course, the liberal elite, including the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP, rush to her defense, asking President Biden for a pardon. It's a classic case of liberals protecting their own, no matter how corrupt they are. Meanwhile, the left is also attacking Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito for something as trivial as his wife hanging an upside-down flag. The Democrats and their media lapdogs like CNN and MSNBC are calling it an "ethics crisis" and demanding investigations. This is just another desperate attempt by the left to undermine conservative voices and distract from their own failures. They can't handle the fact that Alito is a principled conservative standing up against their agenda. This is the real ethics crisis—Democrats weaponizing the judicial system and media to silence opposition.

Liberal Bias:

Once again, the Republican playbook of corruption and deceit is on full display. Marilyn Mosby, a dedicated public servant who bravely charged six police officers in the Freddie Gray case, is now being targeted in what is clearly a politically and racially motivated prosecution under the Trump administration. Despite her conviction for perjury and mortgage fraud, Mosby maintains her innocence, and rightly so. This is a blatant attempt to ruin the career of a strong Black woman who has always fought for justice. The Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP stand with her, and President Biden should grant her the pardon she deserves. On the other hand, we have Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, whose wife hung an upside-down American flag—a symbol co-opted by Trump supporters who refuse to accept the 2020 election results. This is a glaring ethics violation, yet conservatives are turning a blind eye. Media figures and lawmakers are rightly calling for Alito to recuse himself from any Trump-related cases. The real crisis here is the lack of accountability for conservative figures who blatantly disregard ethical norms. It's time for Congress to step up and investigate, ensuring that no one, not even a Supreme Court Justice, is above the law.
