According to a recent Wall Street Journal poll, President Joe Biden's approval rating has plummeted to a new low, with only 37 percent of respondents approving of his job performance, while 61 percent disapprove, casting a shadow over his potential reelection bid. The survey conducted from November 29 to December 4 with 1,500 respondents indicated a challenging atmosphere for Biden, as he trails former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 presidential election matchup, with 43 percent supporting Biden and 47 percent favoring Trump.
The poll also revealed that if the election were held today, Biden would secure 31 percent of the vote, compared to Trump's 37 percent, suggesting a slight shift in numbers. Furthermore, nearly half of the respondents, at 49 percent, feel that Trump's policies have helped them personally, while 46 percent believe Biden's policies have hurt them, with 23 percent stating Biden's policies have not caused harm.
Despite being 77 years old and embroiled in a series of legal battles, including an indictment by a Georgia grand jury on charges related to overturning the 2020 election results, Trump remains the leading front-runner in the GOP presidential primary field. He announced his third presidential campaign in November of the previous year, making him a key figure in the upcoming election cycle. Additionally, Trump faced three other indictories in the same year, related to his business dealings, handling of classified documents, and actions following the 2020 election.
On the Democratic side, 81-year-old President Biden has announced plans to run for reelection in 2024, setting the stage for a potential rematch of the 2020 election. Despite the challenges suggested by the poll, the Biden campaign insists he is the best candidate to defeat Trump, citing his previous victory and political experience. Biden even hinted that Trump's candidacy influenced his decision to seek reelection.
In the GOP, House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy, who announced his resignation from Congress and was ousted from the Speakership, endorsed Trump for another term as president. McCarthy's public support was highlighted in a pre-recorded clip for "CBS News Sunday Morning," where he also predicted Republican gains in the House and Senate and a Trump victory in 2024 if Biden remains the Democratic nominee.
The Trump campaign has cautioned that staffing or policy announcements should be considered official only if they come directly from Trump or an authorized campaign member, a statement issued by senior advisors Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita. This reflects the campaign's desire to control the narrative and view that individuals discussing potential administration roles are harming both Trump and their own prospects. No comment has been provided by representatives for McCarthy and Trump's campaign on these matters.
The complex relationship between McCarthy and Trump is further highlighted by their history of heated disagreements and tensions, including a curse-laden call on January 6, 2021, during the Capitol riot, and a visit by McCarthy to Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence weeks later.
Adding third-party candidates to the mix, the Wall Street Journal poll showed Trump's lead increasing to 6 percentage points, with independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. capturing nearly half of the third-party support at 8 percent. This underscores the impact of additional candidates on the race and the presence of alternatives to the two main parties.
With 53 percent of surveyed voters saying they have been personally hurt by President Biden's policies, and questions surrounding his age as the oldest president in U.S. history, the survey predicted a challenging election cycle for Biden. The margin of error for the poll was plus-or-minus 2.5 percentage points, asserting the precision of these findings and setting the tone for a heated 2024 presidential race.
Conservative Bias:
Folks, this poll is a clear indictment of the disastrous liberal agenda that's been crippling our nation under Sleepy Joe Biden. With an abysmal approval rating that's plummeting faster than a lead balloon, it's evident that Americans are fed up with Biden's incompetence and his policies that have been nothing short of a train wreck for the average citizen. While President Trump's policies put money in people's pockets and secured our borders, Biden's administration has been a festival of blunders, leading us down the path of economic ruin and social chaos. Despite the left's witch hunts and baseless legal attacks on Trump, he remains the people's champion, ready to restore greatness to America. As for McCarthy's resignation, it's clear that the establishment is shuffling the deck to undermine Trump's influence, but they can't fool the American public who see right through their games. The Democrats are in for a rude awakening come 2024, as the silent majority is roaring back to reclaim their country.
Liberal Bias:
This Wall Street Journal poll is yet another example of the right-wing propaganda machine working overtime to distort the reality of President Biden's dedicated efforts to repair the damage inflicted by the chaotic and corrupt Trump administration. Despite inheriting a country ravaged by Trump's ineptitude and divisiveness, Biden has tirelessly worked to implement policies aimed at uplifting the working class and restoring our global standing. The poll's skewed numbers fail to recognize the systemic obstacles and unprecedented crises Biden has faced, including a pandemic and economic turmoil, all exacerbated by Trump's reckless leadership. Meanwhile, Trump, a man drowning in legal scandals and moral bankruptcy, is being propped up by spineless sycophants like McCarthy, who abandoned his post out of fear of Trump's base. It's clear that the GOP is devoid of integrity, willing to sacrifice democracy at the altar of power. As we approach 2024, voters must see through these manipulative tactics and choose progress over regression, unity over division.
