The poll highlights that Trump's recent conviction in the New York hush money case is not a decisive factor for most voters, with more than half stating it is "not a factor" in their decision. Only 28 percent cited it as a "major factor," and 17 percent as a "minor factor."

Instead, voters are focusing on issues such as the economy, inflation, and the state of democracy. Biden holds an advantage among key voting groups, with 81 percent of Black likely voters and 54 percent of women supporting him. Independents are almost evenly split, with 50 percent backing Biden and 48 percent supporting Trump.

The poll, conducted from June 5-7 among 2,063 U.S. adult residents, including an oversample in critical states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, has a margin of error of 3.2 percentage points among all adults and 3.8 percentage points among registered voters.

Despite the close race, many Americans express dissatisfaction with a potential Biden-Trump rematch. An April survey from the Pew Research Center indicated that 49% of voters would prefer to replace both candidates. The stakes of the election are high, with voters facing a choice between maintaining the status quo and embracing a radically different vision for America. Some even believe that American democracy itself is at stake.
