Have you ever come across an interior space that left you scratching your head? Well, get ready to be amazed by this peculiar and unconventional design choice that has taken the internet by storm. In this intriguing image, we are presented with a toilet that defies all expectations, as it is situated right in the corner of a room that appears to be part of the general living space, rather than a dedicated bathroom.

But that's not all! What truly sets this design apart is the flooring. Instead of the usual tiles or linoleum, the entire floor is covered in a thick, brownish carpet that extends all the way up to and around the base of the toilet. Now, we all know that carpets and bathrooms don't usually mix due to their inability to handle moisture well. So, this choice adds an extra layer of surprise and intrigue.

Above the toilet, a portion of the wall is paneled with wood, creating a wainscoting effect that reaches roughly halfway up the wall. The transition from wood paneling to a plain painted surface above adds a touch of contrast to the overall aesthetic. To the left of the toilet, mounted on the wood paneling, there is a small closed cabinet or storage unit, keeping its contents a mystery.

If you haven't been captivated yet, let's talk about the window. Positioned above the cabinet, it allows natural light to stream into the space. However, privacy seems to be a secondary concern, as the plain white curtain is only partially drawn, leaving a sense of openness to the outside world. It's certainly a design choice that embraces the unconventional.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room, or rather, the lack thereof. The entrance to this room is framed with a simple, natural wooden doorframe, but there is no door present. This means that there is no privacy from the adjoining room or hallway. It's a bold move that challenges the traditional notions of personal space and privacy.

As we take in the overall picture, it becomes clear that this unusual setup could be attributed to various factors. It could be the result of an incomplete renovation, where the bathroom was left in an unconventional state. Or perhaps, it's a makeshift arrangement born out of necessity, as we've seen similar setups in homes where elderly individuals are unable to leave their bedrooms. Regardless of the reason, it certainly sparks conversations and invites curiosity.

So, whether you find it amusing, puzzling, or even unsettling, there's no denying that this image has captured the attention of many. It's a testament to the endless possibilities of interior design and the creativity that can emerge from unexpected places. The world of home decor is filled with surprises, and this peculiar toilet in a living space is just one example that keeps us on our toes.

If you're looking to break free from the norms of traditional design, this image will surely inspire you to think outside the box. From the carpeted floor to the open-plan layout, it's a reminder that sometimes the most unconventional choices can lead to the most memorable experiences. So, next time you embark on a home renovation, don't be afraid to embrace your unique style and create a space that truly reflects your personality.

It really needs another toilet on the right, with a small table between them, maybe with a checkers game on it. That would perfect this little space.

Billions of colonies live in this carpet

Now that’s a water closet

This looks and feels like some forgotten corner of the backrooms, even the yellowish wallpaper fits it.

smelly smell that smells smelly

I'm building the same thing right now for my 85 year old mother in law. I live in a tiny house and we can't fit her wheelchair into our bathroom so I made the closet in her bedroom wider like this and put in a toilet and sink into what was her small closet. I will make a big circular curtain around the opening to make it more roomy and not have to have a curtain close it off so small. I will also tile the floor area of the "bathroom" cubby. I imagine it's not so funny for them to be unable to get into the regular bathroom.

I've seen this type of setup in elderly persons homes where they are unable to leave the bedroom. Often times they'll convert a bedroom closet to a restroom. The carpet is a bad idea for sure

Is that *carpet*?

You could put a dartboard in that cupboard above and REALLY mix things up!

I would have had a plaque above the doorway that said “ Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain”
