In a night that Dreamforce attendees won't soon forget, comedian John Mulaney took the stage and delivered a scathing roast of San Francisco's tech elite. The event, held on Thursday, was covered extensively by "The San Francisco Standard," highlighting Mulaney's bold and unfiltered performance.

Dressed in a dark suit with a white dress shirt and black tie, John Mulaney captivated the audience with his sharp wit and unapologetic commentary. Holding a microphone in his right hand and gesturing with his left, Mulaney appeared focused and deeply engaged with the crowd. His shoulder-length brown hair and scruffy beard gave him an air of wisdom and experience, adding to the intensity of his set.

The headline in "The San Francisco Standard" read, "Comedian John Mulaney brutally roasts SF techies at Dreamforce," setting the stage for what was clearly an unforgettable performance. Attendees and viewers alike were left in awe as Mulaney targeted the tech industry's most prominent figures, calling out their perceived flaws and shortcomings in a manner only he could deliver.

One Imgur user commented, "Somebody's got to call out the emperor having no clothes," resonating with many who felt Mulaney's critique was both necessary and timely. Another user described Mulaney as a "Legend," noting the significance of the fact that he wasn't pulled off stage, which only amplified the impact of his words.

The reactions on social media were swift and varied. One tech worker, specializing in AI safety, expressed overwhelming agreement with Mulaney's points, highlighting a disconnect between tech employees and their higher-ups. This sentiment was echoed by another user who remarked, "And they PAID to have him eviscerate them!" emphasizing the irony of the situation.

Mulaney's performance also included light-hearted jabs, with one commenter humorously suggesting, "Next annual meet, maybe there's a way to get the DJ to play Tom Jones' 'What's New P****cat?' on infinity repeat." Such moments provided a balance to the otherwise biting critique, showcasing Mulaney's ability to blend humor with hard-hitting truths.

The event at Dreamforce brought together techies from various sectors, all of whom were given a front-row seat to Mulaney's unrelenting perspective. His performance was a stark reminder of the power of comedy in addressing societal issues, with one user aptly summing it up: "Good. We need a Carlin for our generation."

As the night ended, it was clear that Mulaney had left an indelible mark on those in attendance. His ability to craft a custom set of legendary material, targeting the very audience that hired him, speaks volumes about his talent and fearless approach to comedy. For those who missed it, the hope remains that such performances will continue to challenge and entertain, pushing the boundaries of what stand-up comedy can achieve.

as a tech worker, in fact a specialist in AI safety, I 200% agree with him and a bunch of my co-workers mostly agree 100%. My boss unfortunately only agrees 25% and his boss would fund any kind of opposition to people like Mulaney.

"Yeah, Mulaney is a safe pick. It's not like every artist in the world hates us, right?'

Bet they thought he'd come out and make star trek jokes. Funny thing was they were the punchline the whole time.
