Feel like lots of teachers go unappreciated. Bill Nye comes to mind. Hes more often the b*** of a joke but inspired many children and taught many more. Not to even mention the multitudes of incredibly intelligent youtubers putting out decent content to teach that get almost no subs or credit for their craft.

I have persistent memories of two episodes. One was when he took us behind the scenes of Star Trek and showed how the make-up and everything was done. I think that’s something every kid should see at a young age, so they know a lot of the stuff TV isn’t real. It’d save a lot of stress. There was also one where a kid was lost and he told him to ask a police officer for help. That planted the idea that policing isn’t just shooting bad guys. I wish that lesson aged better.

When I was little I didn't understand how he could read the books without his visor/glasses.
