Homeless in the winter

Homeless in the winter
I'm an apprentice plumber and work 5 days a week. I'm going to school for this as well. I'm 34, and currently living out of my truck. I have a nice sleeping bag, thermals and wool socks, and a YMCA membership. Everything I own is with me in a small "Suzuki sidekick". I would look for a rental room but my heart is set on buying a fifth-wheel and getting a spot in a park. The soonest I can expect a spot is late February. I will set up plasma donation this week to help save money even more.

I can't help but feel incredibly depressed. I keep asking myself "wtf are you doing?" Somehow I've already survived 2 weeks in freezing temps nights. At the least I still have 6 more weeks to go. I want to just stop. I've never been successful in anything in my life and having the goal of living like trailer trash is making me consider my place on this Earth.

I try to find some sort of silver lining but, I know there's nothing I can do to change our planet. Our society is comfortable with letting people suffer, my life is no different.
